the high cost of razor blades

Why are razor blades so expensive? Over fifteen bucks for a pack of ten from Gillette at Fred Meyer. The generic Kroger brand there is five dollars for five blades...problem is the blades aren't as good as the major brand

The reason blades don't last, is not from multiple uses, its the moisture.
